An anal fissure is a tear in the mucous membrane of the anal canal. The cause of fissures is only mechanical damage to the mucous membrane of the anal canal. In 90% of patients, the cause of the fissure is chronic constipation. Anal fissures can be acute and chronic.
Acute fissures are those that have just appeared and heal within 2 months. The latter are treated conservatively with special ointments and suppositories.
If the crack has not healed within 2 months, it becomes chronic. This pathology requires only surgical treatment.

Photocoagulation of a fissure with infrared radiation - the affected area of the anodermis is irradiated with the help of a device
